Great materials, poor execution

The previous owner used nice fixtures and materials. It is just too bad that he had no skill or knowledge on how to install it properly.

Here you see nice decorative strips of wood (that aren't cheap) used to raise the height of the floor. He stapled them down to the subfloor an just thinset on top of them. Pity. What a waste.

Thermostat valve started leaking.

Need to find the correct washer without having to spend $90 on a new valve.

Done.

Slim LED

Neither do people light a LED and put it under a bowl. Instead they put iT in the ceiling, and it gives light to everyone in the basement.
